‘Hello – I have your cat’ An Amazon delivery driver has been caught on camera stealing a family’s cat while dropping off a package. The driver, named in media reports at Catalin Stancu, was caught on a Ring doorbell leaving the home in Elland, near Hailfax, West Yorkshire, on 18 January, while holding a cat named Nora who had wandered into view. He later text the family saying, "Hello – I have your cat". The owner of the cat posted a video of the incident on Facebook and reported several days later – on 21 January – that Nora was now home, "safe and well" and that the family was over the "moon with her return". According to media reports, Stancu was warned on Friday that he could face jail over the theft after pleading guilty at Bradford Magistrates’ Court. The court heard the maximum sentence he could face could be as high as five years jail.
