Growing up as a 5’0 curvy south asian with curly hair, I’ve NEVER been the beauty standard and always tried to make myself fit it, especially when it comes to my hair. After years of being told “curly hair isn’t professional” I’ve had enough. So in preparation for a presentation I’ve decided to wear my hair in it’s natural curls to prove that I don’t need to fit the beauty standard in order to be taken seriously in a professional setting.
