Shocking images from the Pilchowice Reservoir in Poland show tons of rotting dead fish washed up along the shores of the lake, part of the Bóbr River system and home to Poland’s second-highest hydroelectric dam. The reservoir was partially emptied to allow structural work on the century-old dam, which had not undergone major renovation for decades and was damaged during severe flooding in 2024.
