Erm, actually:
The Common Swift (Apus apus) holds the record for the longest continuous flight. These small birds can stay airborne for up to 10 months without ever landing, spending their time eating, sleeping, and even mating on the wing. While the Wandering Albatross can spend several years gliding over the ocean, it does periodically land on water to rest and feed. In contrast, the Common Swift only touches down during its brief breeding season.
While Great frigatebirds can fly continuously for up to 56 days (nearly two months) without landing. Because their feathers are not waterproof and they lack the buoyancy to take off from water, they remain airborne during transoceanic foraging trips, only landing to breed.
