I work in housekeeping at the hospital, I put one drop of lavender oil on my mask to help w the smell. But I never really get to interact with patients, and if I did I wouldn't be spraying anything with aerosol. Lot of patients have breathing problems so it's probably not for the best

The way this would immediately set off my asthma. Most hospitals and other medical facilities literally have postings about VISITORS being careful about perfumes and overly scented items!

I keep a mask with a little peppermint oil or VapoRub inside of it for stinky emergencies. You don't need to spray the whole room.
