@streetscapecurator: Florence Price, Mad Jack, and the Metalware Magnate. I did not know these names until I started searching the sites included in Boston’s new Tour 250 guide. And this is something I love about cities! The more I learn about the places that surround me and the people who have shaped it, the more I feel rooted in place. Boston truly is remarkable. This guide does not shy away from history. It elevates and promotes the advocates who worked to shape Boston. Who advocated for women to vote (1870!), for affordable housing, fair education, healthcare, and so much more. Composers, authors, musicians, actors. These are the stories that make Boston what it is today. The best part is, more sites and stories are being added every week and there will be many more ways to engage with the history around us all, so stay tuned!
