Do not blame victims!!! Have you never heard the rest of the saying….. “Keep them barefoot in the winter and pregnant in the summer” she was 13 years old she probably wasn’t allowed to finish school she had several children she probably didn’t want to abandon. Everything about her says broken to me it’s heart breaking!!!

She was a child having babies. Developmentally she wasn’t able to mature. She may not have been able to rationalize leaving. This whole situation is heartbreaking.

Like - where else was she gonna go. If that’s all she knew. Sometimes people get stuck- mentally. Not saying it’s right- it’s awful. Just saying she may have wanted out and felt no way since she lost her family and was so young when she went with them.

Its harder then you think she was probably threatened if she spoke up . I worked in a mental health psych unit and so many young women came in they was so scared too .
