terrible misrepresentation. the last mile problem is ONLY for commodity or resource transport, not personal transport. furthermore, it is a fallacy to consider flight costs as cost per mile. you cant fly any of those miles in isolation. you also cant go halfway. long distances are always more expensive. just because there are transport options which handle lo g distances more efficiently doesnt change that.
