I’ve never understood the immediate hate and saying outfits are automatically not practical just because they’re cute. practical means a different thing based on the hike, so why is anyone trying to assume they know better? You can hike a 2mile flat trail in literally anything, not everyone has access to or wants to do demanding hikes. People claim that trying to look cute while hiking is “performative” meanwhile the constant need to act pretentious is the real performance to convince yourself you are a “better hiker”. It’s just a hobby. Fashion is also a hobby. There’s nothing wrong with combining hobbies and there is also nothing wrong with doing whatever level of hiking you are interested in.
