As a Norwegian I want to defend my swedish brothers and sisters. For them, ‘surströmming’ is a big part of their tradition and is eaten as a festive meal. Usually it’s eaten from the third thursday in august, a day that’s historically known as the ‘surströmming premiere’. It’s mostly eaten with flatbread or tunnbröd as they call it, boiled potatoes, raw onion and sourcream. So to all my swedish brothers and sisters, be proud of your history and legacy! Love from Norway🇳🇴❤️🇸🇪
