the biggest mistake all these people do, is they open blown up cans. all these cans are often pressured of further fermentation. I think this makes a difference.

Can isn't bloated and those herring look really clean and barely even slimy at all. This is definitely not the most fermented or stinky example you could find.

Swede here! Got to try this😊 I’ll eat surströmming if someone offer me. It’s quite good with thin bread, potatoes and onions etc. But this I have to try. Good work💪
