This entire incident is so wrong. The Agent could have let you know the problem was being taken care of and asked you if you were ok or apologize for the person's behavior.

Even IF that is true, the gate agent should have acknowledged you, apologized (it was happening at UNITED gate), and let you know a supervisor had been notified. The way she DID act in the moment seems like nothing had been done and now United is just playing dmg control.

I am 100% on your side, but perhaps the gate agent was trying to not escalate the behavior of the man for her own safety and the safety of those around her. We don’t know how he was acting before he turned his attention to you.

You know there’s a saying, you’re part of the solution or part of the problem. Her silence was part of the problem you speaking out is part of the solution. Maybe United Airlines needs to put their employees back into some sort of training, compassion, empathy, humanity I don’t know something because it’s all lacking at this point and I don’t only mean united I think all of the airlines are lacking, and all of those qualities that we as human being should have we shouldn’t look at somebody and say you are of one ethnicity we should look at them and say you are a human being and deserving of respect. I’m so sorry you are still dealing with this.

I am sorry that happened to you. Staff are probably told to not engage for safety. You can contact airport security and request a copy of the video. File a police report with the airport. This meets the definition of a hate crime and harrassment.
