This creates microscopic roughness on enamel—think of it like creating tiny pores for better grip. 3️⃣ Bonding agent goes on A liquid primer penetrates those micro-pores and helps the adhesive lock in. This is the “bond” you may see being painted on. ✨ 4️⃣ Bracket adhesive is placed A tooth-colored orthodontic resin is applied to the back of each bracket. 5️⃣ Bracket positioning Each bracket is carefully placed in a very specific spot on each tooth. Millimeters matter—position affects how the tooth moves. 6️⃣ Blue curing light hardens it That blue light you see? It cures (hardens) the resin in seconds. 🔵 7️⃣ Archwire and ties go in Once brackets are bonded, the wire is placed and secured with ties or clips to begin moving teeth. 🤯 Fun fact: Brackets don’t move teeth by themselves—the wire provides the force, and the brackets act like handles attached to the teeth.
