@chinese_cars_sa: The GWM Haval Jolion Pro has quietly become one of the smartest buys in the compact SUV segment right now, and driving one for a few days made it obvious why it keeps popping up on our FYP. Kicks off at R392,150 for the 1.5T Premium, which for what you're getting is genuinely solid value. Under the bonnet is a 1.5T turbocharged petrol paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, sending power to the front wheels. It's not trying to be a performance car, and it doesn't need to be. The power delivery is smooth for daily driving, confident enough for highway overtakes, and doesn't punish you at the pumps however the 7-Speed DCT is not well calibrated, it is always on a wrong gear. What actually surprised me is how much car GWM packs in at this price point. 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise. features you'd expect to pay a lot more for elsewhere. The cabin doesn't feel like a budget SUV either, and that's the part a lot of people underestimate until they sit in one themselves.
