Sailor :
Too many men describe their “perfect woman” like they’re reading a job description. She cooks. She cleans. She does the laundry. She grocery shops. She meal preps. She packs lunches. She raises the kids. She changes diapers. She gets up in the middle of the night with the baby. She makes the doctor’s and dentist’s appointments. She takes the kids to school, soccer practice, and every other activity. She keeps the house organized. She remembers everyone’s birthdays. She plans the holidays. She buys the gifts. She manages the family calendar. She reminds him what needs to be done. She serves his dinner. She keeps herself attractive. She satisfies his sexual needs. She supports his dreams. But where’s the part about her character? Where’s the part about wanting a woman who’s honest, loyal, kind, emotionally mature, communicative, trustworthy, resilient, and capable of standing beside you when life gets hard?
Too often, the conversation isn’t about who she is. It’s about what she can do for him.
Then those same men get online wondering why they can’t find a “good woman.”
A partner isn’t someone you hire to manage your life. A healthy relationship is two adults sharing the load, respecting each other, and building a life together, not one person carrying the other.
