Got a message from the local electric company with suggestions to save energy that all pretty evidently targeted a certain economic class. Suggestions like “turn off your window unit” and “avoid using your building’s laundry room”. Meanwhile, the Meta data center south of us is predictably not meeting ANY of “low impact” goals they promised.

it was -30 this winter. never before seen thst cold where I live. today the heat index hit 120, also never before seen. I dont know how to function in the apocalypse. I thought it would have less mundane tasks than this. I dunno what to do... this is crazy

If it makes Y'all feel better the weather in South Africa has been ice cold, like the coldest ever I've experienced in the Savannah areas where it usually stays between 19-25 in winter it's 2-15 degrees Celsius rn TvT Good luck in yall's heat wave, 34°C is hot, even for me. Stay hydrated.
