A few months ago, the Springs Taxi Rank took matters into their own hands to clean up the CBD from drug dealers and nyaope boys. While the streets felt safer for a moment, the peace didn't last. In this video, we look at the harsh reality of crime in South Africa, the extreme dangers of civilian vigilantism, and why movements like Operation Dudula or March and March are only temporary band-aids. If investigative shows like Sizok'thola can find the kingpins, why can't the police? The truth is uncomfortable: the system is failing because of the political choices being made.
