Hannibal isn’t a psychopath, he has some of the traits of a psychopath but he isn’t. He can feel emotions he just doesn’t feel remorse, he is quite literally in love with Will. His gauge for emotion and morality is just different, like he kills people he considers rude because to him that’s enough justification. Hannibal isn’t a sociopath either, he doesn’t fit into any medical diagnosis because he is that complex. With that being said, Hannibal is still a bad person and that fact that people forget that he is or defend him is just beautiful writing because it shows how manipulative and charming he is that even the audience is split on him.

i think people confuse psychopathy with not having emotions, which is just simply not true. psychopaths have emotions, but they feel and see the world differently than we do.
