@lynda.leads: FMLA leave is often misunderstood as protection only for physical illness, but eligible employees in the United States can also qualify for job-protected leave due to serious mental health conditions certified by a healthcare provider. Workplace stress, burnout, and anxiety can significantly impact functioning, making it critical for professionals to understand their rights, documentation requirements, and strategic options before reaching a crisis point. #lyndasays #LearnOnTikTok
I feel like they hold it against you once you take FMLA.

Also, people need to know about intermittent FMLA. It can save your job until you get stable.

My job gives us 3 days for bereavement leave, which is insane. I immediately went into therapy after my Mom passed away unexpectedly. To be fair, it was traumatic having to put her on comfort care unexpectedly but in any case, I had 6 weeks of therapy under FMLA and the time needed to deal with my grief before returning to work.

So the job that made me sick is protected. I don’t get paid while I take a break for my mental illness, but I can have that same job back once I’m well? Have I got this right?

FMLA doesn’t apply to all companies! You have to have a certain number of employees
