I completely agree in some work places but in my last work place we were genuinely like a family. They supported me through the hardest time off my life, we supported each other, try our best to help each other, see each other as completely equals and have full respect for each other. Even now when we don’t work together anymore, we meet up all the time, are constantly checking in on each other ect. It depends what the work place is

I get paid to talk with my co workers for 8 hours of the day. my time i would never choose to spend time with them and never will

I’ve openly said it to all of my co workers that I love them when I’m there but they don’t exist to me when I leave. And that’s how you do it. You want to be able to enjoy being at work and having a laugh with your co workers but only a select few have my number and that’s just to communicate work related stuff.
