I understand the carpet one so much so many of our dementia residents step over floor treads like there a hurdle and asking for family members who have passed away looking for them everywhere it’s heartbreaking to watch them come to our home and within months they deteriorate so fast 😭

my late dad had dementia and this was what he experienced, he would talk to my mum but she died 3 years before and he would ask for my late brother sometimes didnt know me either he had delusions and hallucinations was extremely heartbreaking 💔 😔 😢

i was in a bad place and did something that led to me experiencing delirium. wow. i was at the hospital thinking i was at work, trying to look after people and messing in the nurses station, kept trying to get up, thinking i had something i needed to be doing, vivid hallucinations and forgetting how to say words or forgetting what i was saying halfway through a sentence, severe confusion no matter how many times people told me what was going on, since that my heart just breaks even more for people with dementia 💔
