This is a more vulnerable post for me and toh part of me almost didn't share it. Some people might see this and think it's embarrassing, or that it's better left alone. But I think it's important to talk about especially in summer, when so many of us already feel more exposed and more aware of our bodies than any other time of year. Two Korean magazines used my own photos on vacation as examples of how to "hide" a body like mine. Not once, but twice. The first time, I told myself it was probably a cultural difference and let it go. This time, I don't want to. Honestly, being called bigger, or curvy, or whatever word they used never really bothered me. What got to me was the language. Calling someone's arms "ugly." Writing a whole article about how to disguise a body, like it's a flaw you need to work around. And doing it using my own photos, where I genuinely felt good. I'm not sharing this for sympathy. I'm confident, I'm okay, this isn't going to ruin my summer. I'm sharing it because I know I'm not the only girl who's had her body talked about like this in a comment, on the street, or in her own head. I wanted to share this to remind everyone girl this summer that you do not need to explain or excuse your body for how it looks. Having a healthy body that can move it's a privilege. And none has the right to comment on it with the purpose of masking you feel less. To the magazines: it's 2026, do better. #bodyshaming #bodypositivity #healthybody #allurekorea #wkorea
