@trend_uk: Sweden shows how advanced machinery can make road maintenance faster and more efficient. Watch how a manhole cover is replaced in just a few minutes with minimal disruption to passing vehicles. Could the same job be done this quickly where you live? Let us know your country and how long a similar repair would usually take. #Sweden #Engineering #RoadMaintenance #technology
Yeah, but it will take 12 months before they get new asphalt and finish the job...

No warnings for incoming cars that work is in progress? I don’t agree that this is Sweden, because Sweden take safety seriously.

From a Swede: Uhm... A person is sitting in the machine controlling it. Also, the work itself is efficient. But the time it takes before they get to that work that needs to be done is something else...

UK, they wait 3 weeks, set up traffic lights, leave them in operation for a couple of weeks, then start working on the issue, this week take at least 2 weeks to complete, then another couple of weeks with the traffic lights. so by the time they clear up I'd say around 3 months.

In the UK, it would’ve had cones round it for two years causing traffic. And when they started to repair it, they would’ve closed the road for about six weeks.
