By law, if there is a dispute the contractor would have to put a lien on the home and go to civil court. I still support the contractor though.

Surely the contractor is also trespassing the moment he is asked to leave?

I believe the contractor should have gone to civil court to seek filing a lien against the house for the amount they feel like they deserve, and the contractor and homeowner need to agree on an amount or let a judge or mediator decided on the liable amount, right?

Yeah, but let’s save the contractor is liable. So the contractor has to put the stuff back in, but then the guy still owes them from the first job so I guess the contractor would just be out for one job then?

But if it's the contactors material (assuming nothing else damaged) what damages are there?

Not to mention, the person recording said they already agreed on a price, then the contractor demanded more than that agreed price.

Another super interesting topic man. I always wondered about all of those videos I’ve seen of contractors doing that whenever there was an issue with payment 😅

O could have sworn it was more like "the contractor can remove it as long as it doesnt damage what was originally there and is returned to its original state" or whatever

the contractor could get a lien against the house instead & get you put out if you prefer it that way.
