@fragil3gg: I usually don't like putting trigger warnings on my content, but in this case... I dunno. maybe it's because this topic is something I'm still struggling with every day, whereas I've made peace with all of the stuff I talk about in most of my other videos. like I said, I dunno. (<---- me, not knowing) #MentalHealth #narcissisticabuse #cptsd #recovery #fyp
i like that you talk about these things while smiling, its easier to watch bc i dont get very emotional from them so thank you!

The struggle is so real. It’s so hard because no one is all bad or all good. I have a parent like this also. Your feelings are valid and it’s great that you have moved away and are trying your best to set healthy boundaries.

I went low/no contact with my mom the last few years of her life. I was lucky I have a younger brother who still talked to her, but I went back and forth on “should I check in?” knowing I’d then spend an hour being berated. The struggle between boundaries and taking care of parents is real

I don't want this to come across as me comparing experiences, bc I've lived quite a sheltered life and I can only imagine being through what you're describing. However I do recognize the thing where, as a child, adults would treat your constant worry - and obvious neurosis! - as something almost endearing and a sign of you being "responsible". Good luck getting rid of the feeling of you being the only constant around which the whole (relatively) safe world revolves around!

CTPSD is another level, I wish not many people experienced, but understand somwhow. Your videos are awesome for this, lets not talk about the smile you wisely mask successfully to attract people to listen. I send love to your soul.

Thank you for sharing this 🖤 I experienced this as well - he had also two very different side of him. I am sober alcoholic and PTSD as well, and I understand you so well. You have a very good way of telling subjects that's very hard to share but made it safe to listen to 🖤🌸 I love the growth you are showing and keep sharing your history 💪🌸

It’s so hard to come to the realization of how your childhood really was, to recognize the flaws and issues with your parents and how they parented you. Your parents seem like a monolith as a child, but as you grow up they become people, and sometimes the people they are are messy.

Gently, it sounds like you are very worried about him and less worried about yourself. Sometimes it becomes easier to end the enmeshment with your abuser if you learn to focus on yourself. When you catch yourself focusing on him, refocus on you. Easier said than done, I know, but I thought I would say something. Wishing you the best, Em. Your channel is so important.

I admire that you can be so joyful in your videos. Your smile nudges me s little bit closer towards feeling better. Even if i am conscious . Usually I take any opportunity to not be conscious. Those moments help me get through the day.

Loving someone navigating the complexities of narcissistic personality traits and bipolar disorder requires a profound, often exhausting, level of emotional fortitude. It demands the strength to draw clear boundaries without losing your empathy, the resilience to detach your self-worth from their volatile cycles of idealization and devaluation, and the courage to prioritize your own mental health amidst the chaos. Ultimately, this kind of love is not measured by how much you can endure, but by the strength it takes to recognize when that love is costing you your own peace and stability, and having the grace to protect yourself in the process. Well done, im happy your still here!❤️
