I smoked daily for 10 years (🍃). After I was saved, I continued to smoke for another five, and it took a mental and spiritual toll on me. In my heart, I wanted to be sober and vigilant, and because I love Jesus so deeply, I knew I wasn’t living in full obedience. I never felt that He was disappointed in me—but I knew I knew better. I wasn’t fully trusting Him to carry me through. I even smoked before church high as a kite while sitting in the Word. I never missed church or Bible study, but one day I felt the Holy Spirit clearly convict me. I flushed my stash, and that was it. It’s now been 20 months, and I’ve been sober the entire time. I’ve never craved it or missed it—not once. I feel free. I feel strong. And I know, without a doubt, that God delivered me.

I used to smoke soooooo much because I was deeply depressed for years. I was high and still depressed, nothing changed.it was when God spoke to me and removed my depression completely that I understood that all that I was doing was pacifying my problems temporarily. But God removed it immediately. Glory be to God always!
