BEEN CLIMBING HEIGHTS Two people were arrested after climbing the antenna of the Empire State Building in New York City and unfurling a banner reading, “When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.” The climbers, identified as Angela Nikolau and Ivan Beerkus, reached the 1,454-foot spire without visible safety equipment, drawing a large NYPD response. Before being taken into custody, the pair descended to a lower platform where Ivan appeared to propose. Known for their extreme urban climbs, the couple previously starred in the Netflix documentary Skywalkers: A Love Story.
