@kaylafutch_: I never thought I’d be diagnosed with breast cancer in my 20s. Neither did the doctors. And it took heavily advocating for myself to be heard. Breast cancer doesn’t care how old you are. While being young makes it less common, it does not make it impossible. That’s why it’s so important to know your body, trust your instincts, and advocate for yourself when something doesn’t feel right. If you’ve been told you’re “too young,” don’t let that stop you from asking questions or seeking another opinion if your concerns aren’t being addressed. And if you’re a young survivor reading this, I see you. 🤍 Early detection saves lives. Your voice matters. #breastcancerinmy20s #breastcancer #breastcancersurvivor #cancerawareness #advocateforyourself

Alyssa Rogers :
I was 29 when I found my lump. I called 10 doctors office until I was finally heard and taken seriously. I was told countless times “a lump at your age means nothing. Probably just a cyst.” It was breast cancer.

Rebecca Toomey-Redmore :
My sister was 23 and diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She was told “oh it’s just a cyst” and it kept growing. Luckily after aggressive chemotherapy, radiation, and a multitude of surgeries, she is healthy and still with us. 10 years later it’s so much more prevalent in that age group. Thank you for sharing your story.
