Estrogen injections are great. Any provider who steers you away from it is because they are uneducated on how to properly prescribe it. It’s safer than oral too.

I take injectable estrogen and testosterone, I draw them both up in the same vial and inject once a week. Hair is coming out but it’s thinner and I get the chin hairs.

Thank you for sharing. You’re such an advocate for yourself. I’m 51 and still have my period. I just saw a doctor about my perimenopause symptoms and she prescribed me birth control pills. I need to find a doctor who listens and understands me.

Where are you placing your estrogen patch? I was told if you place it on your hips and not on your belly, it has a better absorption.

This is exactly why I want injections 😩, I've had to move up get so many times and my levels still aren't moving much. I was thinking about moving to injections for Estradiol as well. I'm currently on the patch and the gel together but I'm also worried about shortages on both.

I hav the same Estrogen level as u! (on the patch in Peri). I wonder if the Testosterone will increase ur Estrogen at all??? 🤔 I am eager to start T, but contemplating if I should raise my E levels first. Did ur Dr say anything about the ratio of E to T levels?

Wish so bad I could find a doctor to prescribe testosterone injections. I can’t afford out of pocket on the doctor AND the meds. Pellets were great through my gyn but again, not affordable. So I’m on cream now since my GP will order it and insurance covers it.

The patch sucks and is hard to get and comes off during hot yoga. Aren’t shots better than oral?

I’ve done injections for estrogen and testosterone for a couple years and love it! I had to go to a telehealth provider to get them. I use Defy out of FL and they’re great! Most women should also be on progesterone if you still have your uterus. I lost ALOT of my hair around 3 years ago. I think it was a combination of low hormones and my thyroid levels were not optimal so am on meds for that also. But hair loss can be from too high testosterone or DHT levels which you can test and/or from not optimal thyroid levels. Normal is not what you want for any of your hormones or thyroid. There is within normal range and then optimal levels within that range. I also think I fried my hair from going blonde and THEN I did extensions hand tied and tape ins and they wrecked it even more! Took my extensions out in February and went back to brown hair and use clip ins now when I go out trying to grow my hair back. Long story short. I would never do permanent extensions again! Good luck it’s such a balancing act with everything.

I’ve been on oral estradiol for three years and have never experienced a shortage. I split my dose up and take it twice a day. I also have trouble absorbing it through my skin.
