My first and final straw was “hmm I’m gonna make chocolate chip cookies I’m gonna put an order in and test out this online pickup thing” I get it and they gave me smarties instead of chocolate chips and I’ve never tried again. Lol

I do grocery pick ups often at my Walmart. I also work for another grocery store and my department picks the groceries for online orders. If you’re okay with it, always allow substitutions. It helps a lot when something’s out of stock. Most stores allow you to pick your substitutions or they will have a comment section where you can write what your preferred substitutions are.

Nooo not food basics pickup. They’re pretty “new” to it so I don’t think they actually have a system setup for it at all. Walmart (free) or superstore (pc express $1) are the best for pick up imo. Hopefully you have a better experience if you try again! Also I have the best luck first thing in the morning, if possible for you

I did an online order a couple of years ago and they substituted applesauce (I was going to bake) for pear JUICE. Then they tried to give me cottage cheese instead of yogurt and at least 5 other things “weren’t in stock”. I cancelled and went myself

I think it depends on who you get! So you have to decide if it’s worth the risk…. But I find if you doing a snack order no big deal but if your meal prepping I never get everything I need

Yeah it’s a hit and miss here! They’ll try and do substitutions for things and I’m like “that isn’t at all close to what I want” 🤣 sometimes I like going into the store but it is handy IF you get everything lol

I think depends on the store, pc express manager here (superstore) and we were maxed out for orders Tuesday and today, and so many people had perfect orders🫢 but I’ve definitely heard horror stories LOL

I do Walmart orders , that’s the most affordable option where I am . And they never miss . It’s great every time ! But Walmart is limited as I don’t like the Great value brand.
