Underrated scene in the movie. The first time we get confirmation that the one wish willow is not only real and openly available, but isn’t inherently evil. The problem was always with bear and how he made his wish, never the means in which he made it.

I like this film, but I feel like the online audience have become so nitpicky and CinemaSins-y that they cant accept a Twilight Zone level story anymore. Curry feeding into this isnt helpful either. "Where are all the other wishers?" bro its a magic shop that was fated to test and mess with Bear. Once he rolled with his wish instead of getting her help, fate twisted his life. The shopkeep here is to reflect that the Willow isnt evil, Bear is and could have acted differently.

I honestly like the world building they did with the cashier being so calm and casual about this. It really adds payoff to the warning he was given about not coming back to regretting his wish later and showing that people constantly make bad wishes and then complain because they made a bad wish, but don’t wanna take accountability for it

I wish that Ichika Nakano, Nino Nakano, Miku Nakano, Yotsuba Nakano, and Itsuki Nakano from The Quintessential Quintuplets become real human beings in my current world, each physically and mentally the same age as me, each retaining their core personalities and memories, each existing as independent individuals with full legal identities and rights. To everyone else they appear as normal real people, but to me they always appear exactly as they do in the anime. I wish that each of them genuinely and permanently loves me, that our relationships are healthy, happy, mutually fulfilling, faithful, and lifelong, that none of them ever chooses to break up with me, and that their existence and our relationships cause no unintended harm or negative consequences to me, them, anyone else, or the world.

I think the shop owner/shop are a big part of where the willow comes from and thats why there aren't rampant wished running around. they knew he needed a life lesson and gave him a cursed toy much like the other two toys we see signs for on the display.

wishes are never evil its the intent behind them and what you want is. you could wish for millions of dollars and do things with it boom not evil. Wishing someone likes it, it breaks their free will however free will cam never be truly contained so for a little bit itd be okay then it starts acting out in its own, consistently breaking the hold on it.
