I am finally getting this thank God. After 2 kids, 2 bds, a failed marriage, and now i just found out im pregnant a few days ago and then found out he cheated last night… Now all i want is God. Even if that means I’ll be alone forever. As long as i have God I will be okay.

I like the point of marriage was created for us, and we weren’t created for marriage so if we don’t get married then it’s okay but the one thing I also think about is if God placed that on our heart and is calling us to it.. shouldn’t we then have a heart posture of it being less of an option?

Yes this is for me. I have been married and now divorced. I made being a “wife” my whole world. I made an idol out of my marriage and when it ended it damaged me. I’m focusing back on Jesus bc I literally can’t do anything without Him. And He is the only One that can fill this void.

In my opinion, church culture can sometimes place pressure on women to view every relationship through the lens of marriage. Many women begin asking whether a man is their future husband almost immediately after entering a relationship. While I understand that this teaching is meant to encourage intentional dating, it can also make it difficult to simply get to know someone without feeling the need to determine their suitability for marriage right away. I think relationships should be intentional, but they should also have room to grow naturally without the constant pressure of deciding whether someone is '' the one.''
