my big problem with Clark getting hitched to Lois is that Clark would obviously want to move back to Smallville to live out a quiet farm based life. I do not see this being okay to Lois. In all universes, throughout time and series, Lois is a career oriented, city gal. She loves globetrotting and being in the thick of things. I just don't see her wanting that Smallville life

Mark Waid also did not like the Superman/Lois marriage, much like how he did not like the Peter/Mary Jane marriage. Before One More Day, Waid, Grant Morrison, Mark Waid and Tom Peyer had a pitch called Superman 2000 to radically change Post-Crisis Superman including "erasing" the marriage by removing the memory of the marriage. Elements of the pitch showed up in Superman Birthright and Morrison's JLA and Superman runs

I liked what the DCAU did and have Diana and Clark be together. Then they split off screen and Lois and Clark got together.

I love that Clark and Lois are married. Great dynamics. I like they should let Petter and MJ marry. In Renew Your Vows and other What If/Ultimate universe it works so well. Let Peter stop being the lonely solmn character

I really like *Superman & Lois* because they seem to be the most stable couple among all the superheroes. I don't get why writers love creating so much drama for superheroes who are in happy relationships, like they deserve love too

Tbf Lois in older comics was pretty brutal to Clark in ways that I think modern readers would probably call toxic and emotionally abusive. (I support Clois but she had to change a lot to be okay for him to be with)

Silver Age Superman/Lois would be a disaster. Possibly a better match in the Bronze Age. But I think it had to wait for post-Crisis when Superman seemed more human and less alien.

In a 2006 documentary, a DC comics employee said it was becoming ridiculous of Lois not figuring out Clark is Superman. As a reporter you have to be smart.

I think Superman is a character who benefits from NOT having changes in his status quo. And I know that if I was ever telling a Superman story I personally would much rather write the “will they or won’t they?”/“Lois suspects Clark might be Superman” vibe to the married dynamic. But I do of course think that they should “end up” married at some point — like if Superman ever meets his future self, that Superman should be married to Lois. And of course there have been plenty of good stories with them as a married couple, so it’s not like I think it’s all bad.

I really enjoy their marriage. I think it worked out well and it very good. It's not my absolute favorite superman ship but I still love them overall even if it's led to some misconceptions.
