As they reach the appropriate developmental stages, they also spend plenty of time exploring indoors and enjoying supervised outdoor experiences. 🍗Around 6 weeks of age, I begin introducing an open crate with high-value treats and chews to help them build a positive association with the crate and set them up for success. That way, if their family chooses to use a crate—or they ever need one for travel, recovery after surgery, or another reason—they’ll hopefully already be comfortable with it. #shihtzu #shihtzulife #doghumor #usa #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp
