it's not like officially confirmed by hoyo but they basically leak stuff on purpose because it gets us excited about the game, they tried doing the lawsuits but new leaders kept popping up so they decided to just lean into it because we loved the leaks

the current 5 most popular leakers have to have some sort of loose partnership with hoyo. other smaller/disagreeable leakers (especially ones that have posted outside of popular “schedules”) have gotten big lawsuits and have been shut down, but we’ve had the same few leakers giving us info on a consistent schedules for a few patches now

And you figured it out they're using beta testers as fake leakers to basically do advertising for them.It's something they started doing three months ago.When they sued all the actual leakers, they decided they were just going to put out all their leaks in a way that makes people want the character.And get excited for the character.So now they're allowing beta testers to put out leaks like a month in advance

Genshin does it on purpose, free marketing, it drums up excitement, and it allows them time to change something even the fandom has a massive negative reaction to a leak like Nuevilette balding lol
