@thesharkdaymond: “If you can't say it in the room. You don't deserve the job.” - Said Jamie Dimon and he is right When one of the most powerful men in business made this statement. We should all consider how it works in our company. Most people don't realize that office politics is something that would absolutely destroy a business. But nothing could be further from the truth. Dimon broke it down so eloquently He said the biggest mistakes in any company come from people who see the problem but stay quiet, because saying it out loud might get uncomfortable. Think about that. Many people blame office politics on the people up top. But they never stop to realize that they’re the ones creating the politics. Just by not being honest. In all my years leading teams, I learned one thing. When you swallow the truth to keep the peace, all you’re doing is prolonging the inevitable. True professionals will get over it. The ones who can’t deal with it. It was never going to last anyway. Say it with respect, that’s your job. That’s leadership. So before you complain about all the politics… Look in the mirror and make sure you’re doing the right thing for the entire team. And if you do your best to bring up things that are holding the company or people back. And the leader doesn't want to address it. Then they don't deserve the privilege of working with you anyway.🤷🏾♂️ -DJ
