That’s freaking cheap. I had one big tree fall during a storm that fell in my backyard and they wanted to charge me $5000. I bought my husband a chainsaw and said happy Father’s Day.

We just moved into an older home with a lot of overgrown trees as well. Bought alll new chainsaws, polesaw, all the shit! Doing what we can before we pay someone to do the big stuff toward the back. (2acres) Cuz yea it’s expensive! Well worth it tho! I’m stoked to see your vision manifest!😎

Going rate seems to be 2k MIN per mature oak. So prob an okay deal. Fence quote seems high though unless you are using all cedar, all new metal posts, and doing the entire yard. Just make sure they use metal posts.

I recently hired a tree guy. He cut the tree down on top of my house. He was insured but not for tree trimming. It was excluded - DISASTER

I’m in central California and our Oaks are protected, you cannot cut them down or even have them trimmed without a permit. They are incredibly beautiful, but a pain.
