I dont think yall watching the same show, Every time Melanie starts thinking about leaving Sincere, someone pulls her aside and says, “He really likes you,” “Just see it through,” or “I’m sure that wasn’t his intention.” She’s already battling her heart and her mind, and then everyone around her keeps making her question what she’s feeling because they’re taking Sincere at his word. That’s why what she said at movie night felt like a cry for help. She literally said, “I’m tired of hearing ‘but he chose you.’ Being chosen isn’t the prize being respected is.” To me, she was basically asking everyone to stop convincing her that being chosen makes everything okay. It wasn’t just Sincere making it harder for her the whole villa kept reinforcing that mindset.
