I’ve realized my cats stress WAY less just being left home. It stresses me more not being around them but they’re well taken care of even when we’re away and I watch them play and cuddle 🥹

Poor guy (& your sanity) would benefit by giving him a dose of gabapentin about 2-3 hours before the trip. Your vet can prescribe some to have on hand before any stressful events like travel or vet visit. 💗

Highly recommend trying to cover the carrier with something like a light blanket or towel. My cats freak out like this when they can see the outside. They just sleep when they’re in a cave.

When I moved to different states I asked the vet for meds and it chilled out my cat and was good in the car. Maybe future long car rides it might help ❤️❤️❤️
