People always wanna make stuff sadder than it is. Toph didn’t learn sand bending because aang yelled at her, she learned it because she hates feeling helpless. If you ever even watched the show you’d know Toph was never as sensitive to care about a little justified anger

ngl i like that she didn’t use that as an excuse. she probably took losing appa really hard. she said she was the greatest earth bender in the world but when it came to sand not only had she never bended it before but she wasn’t good at it. i love how she took that as a challenge and learned to master it! a true goat.
