4 years ago I found out my girlfriend at the time was pregnant. I came home from work and she was sitting on the edge of our bed crying. I knelt down and asked her what was wrong. She showed me two different pregnancy tests. Both had two solid lines. Turn the page, three days later. I had found out my father had passed away thru a picture of an obituary on Facebook. I never met my dad. I had recently tried to start a relationship with him but he respectfully refused, which I understood. It must be difficult having a child you never wanted try to start a relationship 23 years later. About 2 months after my dad’s death I found out she had been cheating on me with a guy from work around the time she got pregnant. We took a pregnancy test and it confirmed my greatest fear. The baby wasn’t mine. She packed her things and left with the guy she cheated on me with that day. I hid myself in my basement for hours with a loaded glock 19 next to a bottle of jack Daniel’s. Ironically the person who saved me is the one that broke me. I had security cameras at each entrance of the house and in the basement. She decided to take a look at the cameras and she saw the gun on the table. She called 911. And the cops came to the door. Since that day I’ve been sober from alcohol. Idk if it’s weird or not but I still check on her from time to time. She has a beautiful daughter, she has a loving husband who’s a good father. I’ve been single since then and often put myself in her husband’s shoes and imagine a timeline where we traded lives. I’m happy with where I am in life right now. I just wonder if i would be happier if like ya know…. If her life was still intertwined with mine.

I had a GF years ago. About 17-18 years ago. We were both living in our parents houses at the time. It was close to her birthday. I called and asked her Dad if I could call over to the house to leave a birthday present for her as we both had to work the day of her birthday. He left a key for me under the mat. I let myself in. Looked like there was no one home. No cars outside etc. I went into her room and caught her blowing her ex. We had been together 2 years. I was single for years after that. I’m 41 now and married with 3 kids but man that still hurts to think about.
