The Answer Was Istikhara Salat al-Istikhara is for every decision in life, not only marriage. You pray two rakʿah, then make the duʿā and ask Allah to guide you to what is best for your religion, your life, and your akhirah. Istikhara is not asking Allah for what you want, but asking Allah to choose what is best for you. How to perform Salat al-Istikhara 1. Make wudu. 2. Pray 2 rakʿah (not fard, voluntary prayer). 3. After finishing the prayer, raise your hands and make the duʿā of Istikhara. 4. When you reach the part “this matter”, mention what you are asking about (marriage, job, move, etc.). 5. Then trust Allah and continue your life. 6. If the matter becomes easy and good, continue. 7. If it becomes difficult or goes away, accept that Allah guided you away from it. Duʿā al-Istikhara Allahumma inni astakhiruka bi ‘ilmik, wa astaqdiruka bi qudratik, wa as’aluka min fadlikal ‘azim, fa innaka taqdiru wa la aqdir, wa ta’lamu wa la a’lam, wa anta ‘allamul ghuyub. Allahumma in kana hadhal amru khayran li fi dini wa ma’ashi wa ‘aqibati amri faqdurhu li wa yassirhu li thumma barik li fih. Wa in kana hadhal amru sharran li fi dini wa ma’ashi wa ‘aqibati amri fasrifhu ‘anni wasrifni ‘anhu, waqdur li al-khayra haythu kan thumma ardini bih. ‎اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ، ‎وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ، ‎وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ العَظِيمِ، ‎فَإِنَّكَ تَقْدِرُ وَلَا أَقْدِرُ، ‎وَتَعْلَمُ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ، ‎وَأَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الغُيُوبِ. ‎اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَ هَذَا الأَمْرُ خَيْرًا لِي ‎فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي ‎فَاقْدُرْهُ لِي وَيَسِّرْهُ لِي، ‎ثُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِيهِ. ‎وَإِنْ كَانَ هَذَا الأَمْرُ شَرًّا لِي ‎فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي ‎فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي وَاصْرِفْنِي عَنْهُ، ‎وَاقْدُرْ لِيَ الخَيْرَ حَيْثُ كَانَ، ‎ثُمَّ أَرْضِنِي بِهِ. #muslim #islam #islamic #quran #alhamdulillah
