@youupgradeyou: A heated debate has broken out after Paris Deputy Mayor Audrey Pulvar responded to Americans making fun of France for not having air conditioning everywhere. Her response? She argued that the United States, one of the world’s biggest greenhouse gas emitters, shares responsibility for the climate change driving Europe’s extreme heat. She also pointed to America’s heavy use of air conditioning, saying it’s part of a much bigger environmental problem. The comments immediately divided people online. Some agreed that wealthier countries should take more responsibility for their emissions and the effects of climate change. Others argued that blaming Americans for using air conditioning during dangerous heat waves makes no sense, especially when AC can save lives during extreme temperatures. Meanwhile, much of Europe is dealing with one of its most intense heat waves on record, and the debate over whether the solution is more air conditioning or less dependence on it isn’t going away anytime soon. Do you think she has a point, or is this a ridiculous take? #Climate #Europe #News #InterestingFacts #Debate

If we didn't have AC, millions in the US would drop dead, especially in the southern states with the humidity that makes it ten times hotter and out west with that unforgiving dry heat.

I guess they can’t get AC themselves just because of the type of architectural designs of the buildings and how old they are etc. why not just install window units?
