@brandy: Every summer, the road to my heart led through New Orleans on the way to my grandparents and my Auntie Bevs in McComb, Mississippi. Those memories became part of me… the music, the warmth, the soul, the love. Now, life has brought me back in the most beautiful way. This weekend, I have the honor of performing on the biggest stage of my life so far, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude. To also be recognized and honored by Essence, and share the light and sparkle brighter with other incredible women, and then to return home to McComb to be honored by the place that first nurtured my spirit… it’s more than a full-circle moment. Brandy is famous famous when folks start buzzing about you . If we all had to live under the glare of social media that takes little snippets of one's life and people think they can throw their synopsis out there for others to jump on we would have more empathy. Brandy has been running from one event to another and she showed up. She went to her hometown after a weekend at Essence and had to be tired. She's human but she took pictures with people there and was friendly with the crowd. I hope she ignores this foolishness and focuses on all the success she had over the past months and the love from her fans .
