The Portugal defender didn’t take a touch or trapped the ball. We clearly saw it bounced off of his head. Which is considered as an accidental deflection. accidental deflection does not reset offside. If the attacker was already in an offside position when their teammate originally played the ball, and then the ball merely bounced or deflected off of portugals defender to them, the attacker is still offside.
