Physical is important. When I used to buy games they averaged $75. When a game came out I’d wait about a month for a used copy to come up & it would be about $60, I’d play it for about a month or two & sell it back for $40. So on average I’d waste about $20 on a game

When Xbox tried similar with the Xbox one launch, it effectively killed the brand relative to what it had been prior, Xbox literally never recovered from that despite having been the biggest right up until the last months of the generation before. This should be what kills PlayStation now
