@notinmyvalley: After public pressure, the City of Coachella ended its agreement with Stronghold’s subsidiary. Stronghold may sue the City over that decision, like many other data center developers including in nearby Imperial, CA have done. The agreement in question committed the City to the Coachella Technology Campus, a 240 acre hyperscale data center. Under CEQA, an environmental review must be completed prior to a project being approved. No such environmental review was conducted prior to the agreement being signed. We are filing written objections with the Coachella City Clerk to this agreement and the absence of environmental review under CEQA. In the event of a lawsuit reaching the Riverside County Superior Court the public record will be reviewed, including our formal objections. If you object to this agreement being signed without an environmental review please visit NotInMyValley.org and submit your letter of complaint to the Coachella City Clerk. #datacenter #notinmyvalley #ai #coachellavalley #coachellaca
