My dad used to be a heavy drinker and he drank himself into a stroke and he was clinically dead for 6 minutes and 27 seconds and do you know what he told me when i saw him again he told me that he saw his guardian angel and now hes 2 years sober and is the best dad ever if thats not proof of God then idk what is.

It’s heartbreaking when it’s so ingrained in your childhood. It feels like you’re letting your younger self down. I think little me truly did believe… I just don’t anymore as hard as I’ve tried to go back. I miss feeling like it all made sense. Life felt simpler then.
