I have had recruiters and HR people tell me they pull restaurant experience resumes for the first prospects because their work ethic and adaptability is always the best. We know what hard work is and will get that shit done in record time. I honestly feel the world would be a better place if everyone was required to wait tables for 6 months.

My cousin makes almost six figures working full time at a high end Italian restaurant. She took the job to save for law school and just....stayed there lol. I'm jealous but not resentful.
