I Investigated the Real Source of the Bleach Review Bombing I started investigating the review bombing surrounding Bleach after seeing accusations that Mushoku Tensei fans were responsible. Instead of accepting those claims at face value, I focused on identifying the accounts, timestamps, rating patterns, and publicly available evidence behind the activity. I compared suspicious accounts and their activity patterns, looking for signs of coordination such as newly created accounts, unusual rating behavior, repeated timing patterns, and connections between accounts. I also examined the evidence being circulated within different fan communities and compared it against the actual rating activity. The goal of my investigation was not to blame an entire fandom. It was to determine whether there was credible evidence connecting specific individuals or coordinated groups to the review bombing. Where possible, I preserved screenshots and publicly available records so the claims could be independently examined. My conclusion is based on the evidence I was able to collect, rather than simply assuming that Mushoku Tensei fans were responsible because they were being accused. The investigation showed why it is important to distinguish between an entire fandom and specific accounts that may have participated in coordinated review manipulation. This investigation is ultimately about following the evidence: identifying suspicious activity, documenting connections, checking timelines, and separating verifiable information from accusations and speculation.
