Unfortunately I have this hair type & the answer is, long hair, no layers. You will -always- have to have it styled & volumized. A neat bun is your only casual option. This is just not a lazy, low effort hair type unfortunately.

No one understands that you can’t do a thing w this type of hair. None of the tutorials work. You’ll spend hours doing your hair just for it to look awful. I just clip my hair up 99% of the time now, I can’t stand it.

Hairstylist here, long/ medium haircut but straight across. Then long face framing layers only in the front starting at the cheek bone. The blunt cut on the ends will help with it looking to fine, and the front layers will help break up some of boxy vibes. Longer/ medium length will also help since the hair isn’t thin. It’s just each strand is fine and you have a lot of it.

ive learned that my hair loved to be blunt cut. washed and blow dried every single day. I always thought this would make my hair worse. but my hair Loves it

same hair type here, I'm so much happier w a chin to shoulder length bob, curled or straight. added some highlights for volume. i love long hair but it is so flat on my head after 2 hours and my ponytail only looks good fluffed every 20 mins
